Sono state annunciate le candidature dell’88esima edizione degli Academy Awards, altrimenti noti come Premi Oscar.

Se l'avventuroso e drammatico The Revenant di Alejandro G. Inarritu  è il film con più candidature, ben 12, possiamo comunque dire che c'è anche una grossa opportunità per un film fantastico: Mad Max: Fury Road di George Miller con 10 tallona il capolista delle candidature. Ma la cosa che fa più piacere è che nella lista ci sono anche categorie artistiche, come Miglior Film e Miglior Regia, non solo le solite categorie tecniche riservate al cinema fantastico.

Star Wars: il risveglio della Forza ottiene 5 candidature. 4 di natura prettamente tecnica (montaggio, montaggio sonoro, missaggio sonoro, effetti speciali visivi) e una artistica al Maestro John Williams per la colonna sonora. 

Potremmo arruolare a forza nel territorio vicino al fantastico Sopravvissuto – The Martian di Ridley Scott (7 candidature), ma è sicuramente doveroso segnalare le 2 candidature per Ex Machina, il thriller, quello sì fantascientifico, di Alex Garland (sceneggiatura ed effetti speciali) e per il film Disney/Pixar Inside Out (Film di animazione e sceneggiatura)

Prima di lasciarvi all'elenco completo ricordiamo che la cerimonia di assegnazione dei premi si svolgerà il 28 febbraio 2015, al Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles, condotta da Chris Rock.

Non vi nascondo che tutto il mio tifo va a George Miller che spero possa afferrare la statuetta del miglior regista urlando: Witness me!
